Corporate Emblem
The corporate emblem was designed with the initial “Y” of Yamada while imitating the benzene structural formula. It was used since Taisho Era (1912–1926). After partially changed, the current version has been used since 1976.
Trademark
The current trademark has been in use since Taisho era (1912–1926). The shape is derived from “Ichirobei Yamada's” “Ichi (market)” and “Yama (mountain)". The “Dai” stands for “the best in the world. The letter of “Ichi (一)” was placed above the “大” to discourage ostentation.
